Comfort Reaches Tampa: Creature Comfort Foundation Supports BayCare St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital

Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to continue expanding its mission of comfort and care with a recent donation to BayCare St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

This latest donation included ComfortKits and Slumberkins Connected Heart to Heart Kits, thoughtfully selected to support children and families during difficult moments of medical care. These items are designed to provide comfort, connection, and emotional support when it is needed most.

We were especially moved to hear how well the items have been received by patients and families. The Slumberkins Connected Heart to Heart Kits have been particularly meaningful in helping young siblings cope when they are separated from a brother or sister in the Pediatric ICU. That kind of emotional support is at the heart of Creature Comfort Foundation’s mission — helping children and families feel seen, supported, and a little less alone during challenging medical experiences.

And there was one especially adorable fan of the donation as well: Revere, the hospital’s beloved facility dog, who seems to be a big fan of the ComfortKits too.

We are grateful to Ashlyn Strathman, MS, CCLS, and the Child Life team at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital for the compassionate work they do every day for patients and families. Partnerships like this one help ensure that comfort reaches children not only through medical care, but through thoughtful emotional support as well.
