Creature Comfort Foundation Continues Support for Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center with ComfortKits and Slumberkins Minis
Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to continue supporting children and families at Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center through donations designed to bring comfort during times of medical care.
Most recently, the foundation provided Slumberkins Minis to the team serving pediatric patients, building on previous donations of Creature Comfort Foundation ComfortKits. Together, these thoughtful items are meant to offer encouragement, emotional comfort, and a small sense of familiarity for children facing procedures, treatment, and hospital visits.
The donations were shared with the CFAM Pediatric Ambulatory Surgery Unit, where child life specialists and medical staff work closely with children and families during important moments of care. Creature Comfort Foundation is especially grateful to Christy French, MS, CCLS, Associate Child Life Specialist, and the dedicated pediatric team for helping place these comforts directly into the hands of the children who need them most.
At Creature Comfort Foundation, the mission is simple: to deliver comfort, care, and encouragement to children experiencing medical challenges. Whether through a full ComfortKit or a soft and meaningful Slumberkins Mini, each donation is intended to remind a child that they are supported and not alone.
Ongoing partnerships with hospitals, child life specialists, and pediatric care teams are central to that mission. These relationships help Creature Comfort Foundation reach more children and provide meaningful items that can ease stress and bring a small moment of comfort during a difficult day.
