Creature Comfort Foundation Delivers ComfortKits to Children’s Institute at Carle Foundation Hospital
URBANA, Ill. — Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to continue expanding its network of hospital partners with a recent delivery of ComfortKits to the Children’s Institute at Carle Foundation Hospital, part of Carle Health.
The ComfortKits were welcomed by members of Carle Foundation Hospital’s Child Life team, who work closely with children, teens and families to make healthcare experiences feel less stressful and more familiar. Carle’s Child Life Specialists use preparation, education, play, toys, games and other activities to help children understand medical experiences and cope during their time in the hospital.

Supporting Children and Families in Central Illinois
The Children’s Institute at Carle Foundation Hospital provides pediatric care ranging from routine needs to acute and specialty care. Carle Foundation Hospital is one of three designated Pediatric Critical Care Centers in downstate Illinois and operates the region’s only dedicated pediatric intensive care unit. Its facilities also include a 22-bed inpatient pediatric unit and activity spaces designed for both younger children and teenagers.
For Creature Comfort, partnerships like this are about more than delivering a box. They are about putting useful tools directly into the hands of Child Life professionals who understand what their young patients need.
