Creature Comfort Foundation Brings Comfort and Joy to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands

Columbia, SC — The Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to announce the donation of our signature ComfortKits and Slumberkins Sprite plushies to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands, South Carolina’s first children’s hospital.

Serving more than 150,000 children’s visits each year across over 30 pediatric sub-specialties, Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands is a trusted leader in pediatric care for central South Carolina. The hospital is also home to the region’s only dedicated Children’s Emergency Center, providing critical services to young patients and their families in moments of urgent need.

Annie Insley, Certified Child Life Specialist at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands, shared her excitement about the delivery:

“We received our Sprite Slumberkins and Creature Comfort boxes!!! Thank you so so much for getting them to us! I cannot wait to start handing the boxes out to patients!”

The donation will provide young patients with comforting, therapeutic tools designed to reduce stress, create positive distractions, and help children feel more at ease during their hospital stay.

“Small acts create a big impact — and this is what drives our mission every day,” said Ava Builione, founder of Creature Comfort Foundation. “We are honored to partner with hospitals like Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands to support the incredible work of their Child Life Specialists.”
