Creature Comfort Foundation Donates ComfortKits and Slumberkins to Stanford Medicine Children’s Health
Stanford, CA – Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to announce its most recent donation of ComfortKits and Slumberkins to Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, one of the nation’s premier pediatric health systems. This donation continues the Foundation’s mission to bring emotional support, encouragement, and joy to children undergoing medical care in hospitals across the country.
The donation was coordinated with Sydnee Alexa Dolphay, CTRS, Special Events Coordinator with the Child Life and Creative Arts Department. Her team works closely with patients and families to provide therapeutic programs and creative outlets that reduce stress and foster resilience during hospital stays.
Each ComfortKit includes thoughtfully selected items such as a storybook, activity pages, sensory tools, crayons, Play-Doh, and more—designed to encourage play, creativity, and comfort. Paired with Slumberkins plush companions, the kits bring warmth and a friendly presence to children navigating difficult medical experiences.
“These donations mean so much to our patients and families,” said Sydnee Dolphay. “Having resources like the ComfortKits and Slumberkins makes hospital visits less overwhelming and helps provide a sense of normalcy and joy.”
Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is dedicated to advancing pediatric medicine and supporting the emotional well-being of young patients. Through this collaboration, Creature Comfort Foundation is honored to contribute to the hospital’s holistic approach to care.
Ava Builione, founder of Creature Comfort Foundation, shared:
“Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bring comfort and hope to children during some of their hardest moments. By partnering with hospitals like Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, we’re able to make a lasting impact and remind children and families that they are not alone.”
Creature Comfort Foundation has donated to more than 70 hospitals nationwide, delivering thousands of ComfortKits and plush companions to children in need.
