Corpus Christi, TX — Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to announce its latest donation of ComfortKits and Slumberkins to Driscoll Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit pediatric hospitals serving South Texas. This special delivery supports Driscoll’s Child Life team, who work daily to reduce stress and bring emotional support to children receiving medical care.
Driscoll Children’s Hospital provides exceptional pediatric care to more than 40 counties across South Texas, offering specialized treatment and compassionate services for families navigating challenging health journeys. The Child Life department plays a vital role in creating connection, comfort, and moments of joy during hospital stays.
As part of this donation, Creature Comfort Foundation also included ComfortKit information cards in Spanish, offering more families the opportunity to learn about the mission of the foundation and the personal story behind its creation. The foundation was inspired by Ava Builione, whose own medical journey sparked her desire to help other children feel safe, supported, and brave during hospital visits. Today, her vision continues to guide the foundation’s work nationwide.
The Child Life team expressed heartfelt gratitude following the delivery.
