Creature Comfort Delivers ComfortKits and Plushies to Children in Southern California

Creature Comfort Foundation Donates ComfortKits and Slumberkins to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Spreading Smiles Across Pediatric Units

Loma Linda, CA — Creature Comfort Foundation is proud to announce its latest donation of ComfortKits and Slumberkins plush companions to the pediatric team at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital in Southern California.

This impactful donation supports the hospital’s mission to provide compassionate, whole-person care to children in Southern California. Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is a regional leader in pediatric medicine, offering expert care across more than 30 specialties and serving families from across the Inland Empire and beyond.

Creature Comfort Foundation delivered both ComfortKits—coping boxes filled with storybooks, crayons, sensory toys, and creative tools—and Slumberkins Bigfoot and Sprite Kins—therapeutic plush sets designed to promote emotional resilience. The donation was warmly received by the Child Life team.

“My manager responded that she’s excited and believes this would be good for all of our units,” said Kait Briggs, Child Life Assistant for Hematology/Oncology/TCT. “We also have a bereavement coordinator who I believe would be interested in learning more.”

The donation is part of Creature Comfort Foundation’s expanding mission to deliver comfort, care, and emotional support to children in hospitals nationwide. Each gift is thoughtfully created to help reduce anxiety, build resilience, and remind kids they’re not alone on their journey.

“We’re honored to support the team at Loma Linda and thrilled that our Comfort Creatures will be helping even more kids feel seen, supported, and a little more at ease,” said Ava Builione, Founder of Creature Comfort Foundation.

Creature Comfort invites more hospitals and child life specialists to reach out and join the growing network of comfort, healing, and compassion.
